Roulston & Young features writing partnership Sarah-Louise Young and Michael Roulston. They are song writers and cabaret performers specialising in musical character comedy. Their first show, Cabaret Whore, was Time Out Critics’ Choice in 2009 and went on to win acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe and beyond in London, Brighton, Paris, New York and Australia. Their second show, Cabaret Whore Encore! won the Spirit of the Fringe and Three Weeks Editors Awards. They x won 'Best Musical Variety Act' at the London Cabaret Awards last year.  They have been touring the world with 'Julie Madly Deeply' since their West End run. In 2013 they presented their first duo show Songs For Cynics at the Edinburgh Festival, London Wonderground and the Crazy Coqs, London. In 2014, they were commissioned to create a new show 'Two Faced' for the London Festival Of Cabaret and have presented sold out shows at the Crazy Coqs and Soho Theatre and St James Studio.

They had great sucess at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe with their compilation show Songs For Lovers (And Other Idiots), and also La Poule Plombée: Je Regrette! winning two awards and a batch of five star reviews. They toured to Australia and Malaysia in 2017. Sarah-Louise has appeared in Fascinating Aïda at the Edinburgh Fringe, in London’s West End and on national tour and is also a member of award-winning musical comedy improvised musical troupe The Showstoppers, featuring in their BBC Radio 4 comedy series and in the West End. Michael Roulston has collaborated with many artists on the UK cabaret scene including Dusty Limits, Dillie Keane, Meow Meow, The Black Cat Cabaret, Lili La Scala and David Hoyle.
